Zoe - Head coach
Zoe has played rugby since graduating from St Marys University in 2007, she is a key member of Teddington Ladies Rugby Team and loved for being full of fun. Zoe is a qualified teacher, who has spent the last three years at St Marks Academy where she was Head of PE and an Assistant Head Teacher, she is now working at Longacer School in Guildford where she is Head of Sport for two to 11 year olds.
Zoe Loves to come up with creative and engaging ways to make Half Backs sessions fun, she is great at telling stories, encouraging all children to take part, take a lead and work as a team.

Heather - Owner
Heather is a level 2 qualified RFU coach and Level one RFL coach, she worked as an RFU Community Rugby Coach for 2 years in that time she was the Head coach for the University of Birmingham’s Womens Rugby Team, the West Midlands U15s team and two county teams. She is currently the Ladies Captain of Teddington RFC.
Heather is passionate about children having a healthy and happy start in life, she believes in the positive impact taking part in team based, physical activity, in the outdoors can have on young children.

Nicole- Head Coach
Nicole started playing rugby aged 19 and instantly fell in love with the sport, she thinks that rugby is more than a sport, she wants to promote rugby and share her passion as much as she can.
Nicole was a professional rugby 7’s player for the Netherlands and after her retirement she moved to London to experience playing and working in West London. She finished her RFU Level 2 coaching course and started working as a PE teacher/Sports coach.

Sarah is Half Backs best volunteer, a rugby person through and through, Sarah is Teddington Ladies chairwoman and is constantly looking of new ways to develop Teddington RFC. In Sarah’s professional life she a Director of a successful Creative Design Agency and she is also the designer and developer behind one of our favourite websites www.scrumqueens.com
Sarah volunteers for Half Backs Rugby because she is passionate about the benefits of rugby, believes in the power it has to develop children both physically, socially and mentally…. and because she is a lovely person!

Jo - Head Coach
Jo is a year six primary school teacher who loves playing rugby, Jo is a massive asset to the Half Backs team. As well as being experienced in early years education Jo has a fantastic manner with both the children and parents at Half Backs sessions.
Jo is dedicated to giving every child the best start in life and believes that being physically active, playing fun games and a rugby culture is the perfect way to do that. Jo has been playing rugby with Teddington Ladies for two seasons and is one of the fastest players on the pitch!

Heidi - coach and administrator
Heidi has played rugby for as long as she has been able and often takes on her bother on the pitch. Heidi is a qualified rugby coach and personal trainer and is committed to developing her skills as much as she can.
Heidi currently plays rugby at Teddington Ladies and is setting up a new womens 7’s team with our brilliant partners Thamesisans RFC. Heidi is full of energy and brings a positive attitude with her to every session.
Heidi also helps out with the administration of Half Backs, so will often know the answers to any of your booking questions, Half Backs wouldn’t function without her!

Freya has been playing rugby since the age of 12 and has represented her university, county and currently Teddington Ladies. Currently undertaking her teacher training qualification at St Marys University, Twickenham, Freya brings a sense of clam to Half Backs (along with a good dose of fun of course).

Andrea has only just started her rugby playing career with 2017 being her first season! She has however, been coaching and working with children for much longer. Currently working in a secondary school covering all kinds of lessons and volunteering with Autistic Children and for England Deaf Football Team she keeps herself busy!
Andrea is our expert in disability and inclusion she usually coaches on a Saturday at Marble Hill.
Andrea is passionate about every child having access to sport and physical activity, she believes in the power of sport to teach valuable life skills. She is bursting with energy and her sessions are always full of fun.
